BGP Failover — External Peer Visibility

Latest RIPEstat observations. Missing observations are not confirmed BGP withdrawals. D1 /24 routes normally take precedence over the D2 /23.

A /23 may be visible before failover. “D2 /23 only observed” means both /24 prefixes were absent in the latest available snapshots, not proof that all Internet ISPs have converged. Peer snapshots are periodic; 10-second refresh does not produce 10-second BGP snapshots. A public AS path through AS7018 cannot independently distinguish D1 AT&T from D2 AT&T. The collector data is global and not restricted to North America. First path ASN is derived from the AS path, not verified as the collector peer ASN. Network names and ASN registration countries are resolved from RIPEstat in the background and cached. Unknown country means the registry did not supply a usable country; it does not mean a BGP route is unavailable. Click a prefix card to filter rows; click again to clear. 198.151.255.0/24 is monitored separately and does not affect the D1/D2 failover state.
